HANEX at the K Fair in Düsseldorf

The K Trade Fair in Düsseldorf is world’s largest event for the plastic processing sector. It is also a meeting place for professionals from every corner of the planet, a perfect reflection of globalising trends. At the K Fair you can find the latest technologies, production techniques and construction methods, and meet potential customers and suppliers. The K Fair is the world’s most important marketplace for contacts, not only for the entire plastic and rubber industries, but also for interested users from other sectors.

“During the Fair, a range of meetings was held with current and potential suppliers of technologies, materials and additives for PET processing. We discovered the latest trends in packaging, recycling and circular economy in the PET field. There was a noticeable increase in interest in the subjects of ecology and recycling in the scope of designing, manufacturing and using packaging. The effects of the latest EU directives regarding single-use plastics were a leading motif in most of the new solutions and discussions. Hanex fits perfectly with these trends, particularly with the production of RPET film and bottles with the addition of recycled PET,” reports Michał Grzelak (Director of Research, Development and Quality at GTH Hanex Plastic).

The areas of interest for this year’s fair were concentrated around several key questions for the plastic industry.

The greatest emphasis was placed on presenting four issues:
– plastic for sustainable development and circular economy;
– digitisation of the industry 4.0;
– systemic integration, i.e. functionality obtained due to materials, processes and design;
– personnel for the industry

“The K Fair is the largest plastics trade fair in Europe. As Hanex employees, we were able to forge new links with suppliers from various countries, and calmly talk with our current ones about prices and quantities of the materials our company buys. We also had the chance to observe innovative solutions with regard to processing granulates and flakes. Modern laboratory equipment was the next stage of our stroll round the enormous exhibition halls. Innovative solutions in the laboratory were the culmination for my colleagues from Quality, who were very interested in news from the world,” says Purchase Manager Beata Kluczewska.
